Conquering the Alps

Graham Associates has been appointed to manage the international real estate marketing for Andermatt Swiss Alps, an established and picturesque Swiss mountain village that is being transformed into a 5* golf and skiing resort near Zurich.  We will be working closely with Abercrombie & Kent International Estates, their appointed UK sales agent.  In addition to a wide range of year-round round activities to entertain most ages and tastes, it also offers the rare benefit of unrestricted Swiss home ownership to foreign property purchasers.

GAGMS Appointed to Rebrand Residential Eco & Nature Estate in South Africa

Graham Associates has been appointed to manage the rebranding and international real estate marketing programme at South African residential estate ‘The Rest’.

Last year The Rest became 100% owned by Sanlam, one of South Africa’s largest listed insurance and financial services companies, following a period of financial uncertainty under the previous owner.

After undertaking an ‘audit’ of the estate and consulting with the homeowners, Sanlam appointed renowned SA Development Manager Secondlifestyle, which in turn invited a team of leading international specialist consultants to visit the site in November, in order to review and discuss the new owner’s redevelopment plans to transform it into a residential estate that will rank among the best in the thriving Mpumalanga region.

In 2014, with a substantial capital investment from the new owners, The Rest is about to undergo a major upgrade to world-class standards, including the security, infrastructure, landscaping, marketing and general facilities that were inherited.

This picturesque 320 hectare, low density gated community is set high up in the hills overlooking the City of Nelspruit, approximately 3 hours’ drive east of Johannesburg on the road to the Kruger National Park and Mozambique.  Although only 4 km from the city centre, with its soothing breezes and spectacular uninterrupted views, this area benefits from a comfortable year-round climate, approximately 4-5° cooler in summer than in the valley below.  In total 900 residential stands are planned, divided into five neighbourhoods.

The bird life here is spectacular and as part of the rebranding exercise we will be creating a haven for the dozens of beautiful indigenous bird species, working closely with Birdlife South Africa on conservation and education.

 

 

Long-Standing Client Wins Two Global Awards

We are immensely proud that the entries that we prepared for our client Villas Valriche in the International Property Awards 2013-14 (sponsored by EY and Virgin Atlantic) were voted Best Golf Development and Best Safe Home in Africa – a ‘double’ that has been achieved rarely in the history of this prestigious competition. We also received a Highly Commended award for Best Development – Multiple Units.

Four years ago our entries also won Best Golf Development and Best Development awards, before any villas and much of the estate infrastructure and landscaping had even commenced. Sales Director Timo Geldenhuys commented: “To be voted ‘the best’ in the entire continent in two categories is a truly exceptional achievement in itself, but it is especially gratifying to have won these awards both before work started on the estate and now that it has actually been built.”

The International Property Awards is widely regarded as one of the world’s most prestigious competitions in residential and commercial property industries. It ranks the world’s most impressive developments for a variety of real estate including leisure facilities, shopping centres, high-rises, public service buildings, office complexes, and multiple and single residences. The judging panel consists of over 70 industry professionals including many highly respected luminaries.
